NEWS FROM BOULDER HUT

QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS

It feels like only yesterday we were coming out of our last lockdown, and yet here we are, welcoming Christmas 2021 into our lives.

It has been a year of ups and downs for everyone. But as they say, we move onwards and upwards.

New Menu

The last few months have seen us introduce a brand new menu. Pizza has been the topic of conversation for all of us, and we think our chefs have done an amazing job at integrating the pizzas into our menu. Hand rolling each individual pizza by hand, creating a festival for the taste buds with our choice of toppings. And how can we forget the continued stock of home made cakes, all vegan and so very moorish.

Youth Climbing Series

I have to mention the recent success of our very own regular climber Cerys Moscrop, who back in September achieved 3rd place overall in the Youth Climbing Series, run by the British Mountaineering Council.

We would like to again congratulate Cerys on her success and look forward to seeing her in future competitions.

Holiday Club

We have had great fun this year with our holiday clubs and are happy to say that they are returning for the festive period.

Our holiday club children love coming and our regulars keep returning.

We climb, we eat, we play games and we socialise, and best of all we ignite and re ignite the love for climbing in all of our holiday club kids.

Ultimate Pass

Our Ultimate Pass members continued to support us over the course of the pandemic, through lockdowns and beyond.

The team at Boulder Hut are so grateful for the continued support, and have a special Christmas giveaway just for them.

To enter, you must be an Ultimate Pass member AND be registered with griptonite logging at least 2 climbs.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Bold girls, this girl can

Boulder Hut had the pleasure of hosting an 8 week course for women, in association with ForHousing, Active Cheshire and Sport England.

Every Bold Girl that joined us for the course came in as a beginner, having never climbed before. They left us, at the end of the 8 weeks, feeling stronger, fitter, and feeling very positive.

YES! THIS GIRL CAN!

I want to extend a massive well done to every single one of the women that joined us. Each session was lead by our fabulous instructors Ami, Emily and Mike who were buzzing after every session thanks to the enthusiasm, willing and determination of the participants.

It's hard enough starting out as an individual, but it takes a certain amount of courage to dive straight in at the deep end with a group of people you may not neccesarily know.

Thank you to ForHousing, Active Cheshire and Sport England, for choosing Boulder Hut to host this amazing course. We all feel empowered, having seen all the awesome women taking part.

That's all for now, Thanks again for your continued support!
