Following the government’s recent announcement, we have sadly made the decision to close Boulder Hut until further notice. The safety and wellbeing of our incredible team, customers and community is extremely important to us, and so we believe right now this is the appropriate response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We are committed to providing a clean and safe training environment for our customers as we assess the ever-changing situation.
Following yesterday’s statement from the Prime Minister, we are taking the Government’s advice very seriously and are continually monitoring developments in respect of COVID-19 and are following the advice and guidance of Public Health England.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
We are taking the current outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously and are monitoring government advice daily. The current government advice is that ‘there is presently no reason people should stop doing their daily sport and physical activities as they normally would’ and we do not plan to close the centre unless instructed by the government.

Family climb time
We’re a family of five (two grown-ups & three kids; 9, 6 & 2.5yrs). We like to be adventurous, are seasoned campers & hikers & generally happy in the outdoors scrambling or wading through nature. Adventure is fun, throw kids into the mix and it can be even more so, but finding activities to suit the needs of the different ages or indeed having enough arms to keep them safe isn’t always so simple.
Why I climb
Climbing, whether it’s in a gym, out in the mountains, or even structures in the urban playground, has a way of bringing the best out in people. For many who start climbing it starts out as a bit of fun every week or so, then, the bug bites and you’re hooked.
Join our fab kitchen team!
We’re looking for an experienced chef to join our fantastic kitchen team in our vegetarian café based in a climbing wall in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
